Reaction to this years results day.
Anyone who has ever been involved in a Results Day – as a parent or a student – will know that it is one naturally filled with anxiety and trepidation. This year, such feelings were increased further by the cancelling of formal examinations and the need to socially distance when picking up results. For Year 13 pupils at Maesteg School today, however, their characteristic determination and positivity shone through as they picked up their A-level Results.
Maesteg school pupils deserve to celebrate both their results and the way in which they have responded to this unprecedented time. Pupils were keen to thank teaching staff for their support throughout their time at Maesteg school and for the words of encouragement over the last six months. We will miss them immensely but, as many were reminded today, each and every pupil will always remain part of our school community and should be proud of their time with us.
