In English lessons this year your child is working towards a GCSE qualification in English Literature.
The first external unit for this course is an exam on Wednesday 8th January 2025 on the text Of Mice and Men and Unseen Poetry.
Your child can access revision material on their English class TEAMs page.

Every Tuesday after school the English department run a GCSE Literature support session. All Year 10 pupils are welcome to attend.
At the beginning of October we will start preparation on the Poetry assessed essay.
Important dates for next year:
Some pupils will need to sit the re-sit of Unit 1 on: Monday 12th May 2025
All pupils will be sitting Unit 2 on : Tuesday 20th May 2025

Every Tuesday after school Mr Pryce (E02) runs a Writer’s Hub where pupils can work on refining their written style. All Year 11 pupils are welcome to attend.
