Ysgol Maesteg pupils were congratulated by Angela Diakopolou this week, for being the only school in Wales to take part in the Siemens Curiosity Project! Angela, MD at Sphere Insights Ltd. met with Abbie Grant, Joseph Lewis, Lewis Griffiths, Megan Speck and Katie Jones, who all participated in a research project exploring STEM resources. The pupil’s analysis of the project will be used to inform members of the Siemens Curiosity Project on how to develop and enhance their resources which will be used in schools across the United Kingdom. Maesteg School received £130 for their efforts in the research project for Siemens, and their teacher Miss Mary Bailey was really proud of everyone involved. “Our pupils were wonderful, independent and well spoken.” Miss Bailey said. “They truly did the school proud and I thank them all for their efforts.”
