On Wednesday 5th October 2016 at 5.30pm, we will be holding a “Help your Child Through Year 11” evening.
GCSE exams are fast approaching with the first Maths and Numeracy exam on Wednesday 2nd November 2016. We understand that this can be a very stressful time for both pupils and parents as they prepare for their GCSE examinations and it is more important than ever that we work together with your child to ensure they can do their very best this year.
Our “Help your Child Through Year 11” evening has been designed to help alleviate any of your concerns and to support you in preparing your child for this important year in their life. You will receive information about how to support your child through their exams, gain specific information about the Maths, Numeracy and Science exams from experienced Heads of Department and gain an insight into the structure of the examinations that your child will be sitting.
We really encourage you to attend this event as you and your child will gain support, advice, and tips on examination techniques which will play a vital role in ensuring your child leaves Maesteg School with excellent GCSE results. The event will last approximately 1 hour and in addition, you will receive an interim report on how your son / daughter is achieving to date to enable you to best support their progress.
