CONGRATUALTIONS TO OUR GCSE COHORT!
“These are the pupils who have been most affected by the impact of the pandemic. But they are also the cohort of pupils who have shown more resilience, commitment and dedication than any other group of young people. They excelled themselves this year proving that they were determined to achieve their potential and worked tirelessly to put in their best efforts. As a result, we saw more A*/A grades than in previous years and more of our pupils achieving the grades they deserved rather than be overwhelmed by the high stakes culture of a sitting a single exam.”
“73% of our pupils achieved 5 A* – C grades with 59% achieving 5 A*-C grades including Maths and English at C grade or above. 21% of our pupils achieved at least 5 A*/A grades. Our year 11 pupils showed such determination to achieve their desired grades that they absolutely deserved these outcomes. This attitude will stand them in good stead for the future whether that be to return to school or college to continue with their studies or to seek employment or apprenticeships. They are a very special group of young people.”
As always there were some outstanding individual performances. Particular mention should go to:
Lucy Davies – 10A*, 1A
Rhys Williams – 10A*, 1B
Jack Tozer – 8A*, 3A
Lowri Davies – 7A*, 4A
Tilly Lewis – 7A*, 3A, 1B

Sneha Patel – 7A*, 3A, 1B
Chloe Rees – 7A*, 4A
Dylan York – 7A*, 3A

“I continue to be proud of our pupils who gave everything to achieve their very best. They have shown that when you are motivated to work hard even when faced with difficulties, anything is possible. Well done to you all.”
