Maesteg School pupils celebrated another successful set of GCSE results, marking yet another year of excellent academic and personal achievements with an overall A*- C pass rate of 87% and 99% of our pupils achieving at least one A*-C grade.
66% of our year 11 pupils achieved a C grade or higher in English and 21 of our Year 11 pupils achieved 3 A*/A grades. There was also a significant proportion of students achieving A* and A grades across the school, with impressive results in History, Maths, English Literature, Chemistry, Biology and Art.
Helen Jones, Head teacher said, “these results are the culmination of some incredibly hard work from both Year 11 students and teaching staff and the support given to them by our parents. We are very proud of their achievements and hope to welcome them back into our sixth form to enable them to continue on their learning journey.”
